Volunteering in South Africa is possible from as little as 2 weeks. Many participants choose to stay between 4 and 12 weeks, depending on the project and their personal plans.

What accommodation is provided?
You will stay in organized accommodation (e.g. volunteer house, shared apartment, or similar). All options are vetted, furnished, and suitable for international participants.
Can I withdraw money and pay by card in South Africa?
Yes, ATMs are widely available, and you can easily withdraw money using your bank card. Card payments are also accepted in many places.
Can I use my phone in South Africa?
Yes. You will receive a local SIM card, allowing you to make calls and use mobile data at low cost. Wi-Fi is available in many accommodations and cafés.
When is the best time to volunteer in South Africa?
South Africa is a year-round destination. The best time for Cape Town is during summer and late summer (November–April), with warm weather and a vibrant atmosphere.
